Dear CBO Family,
In these unusual times we are living through there is a great deal to pray for. While we are filled with optimism and hope for forthcoming vaccines to help end the pandemic, the number of those infected with Covid-19 continues to rise precipitously both in our country and throughout the world. At home, following one of the most divisive elections in our nation's history, our country requires healing, with a call for unity in the spirit of mutual respect for sister and brotherhood.
In the spirit of the season, we can all reinforce the fundamental Jewish values of Thanksgiving, and sing the poetic words in Psalms 104, Mah Rabu Maasecha Hashem, “how great and many are Your deeds L-rd.“ And so, at this moment in history, it is clear that there is much to pray for.
Please join our entire Merrick and Bellmore community for an evening of Prayer, Hope and Community this Wednesday at 8:30pm. The 40-minute program is jointly organized by the Merrick Bellmore Jewish Community Council joined by all of the local synagogues, and will be held virtually on zoom at bit.ly/3mVLV5v.
We are all proud to be a part of this unique and special Jewish community where all of our individual synagogue communities can come together in prayer as one. Please be sure to be a part of this evening and encourage your friends and neighbors to join us.
In the merit of Jewish Unity, may our prayers ascend on high, penetrate the Heavens.
Sincerely,
