About Us
At Congregation Beth Ohr, welcoming is our #1
priority. We are a Conservative Egalitarian Synagogue where prayer and learning leave us wanting more. Our services and programs uplift our members spiritually, socially, and culturally. We approach learning with intellectual honesty and curiosity. Our members support one another in times of tsuris (struggle) and add to each other’s simchas (celebrations). We are a house of light and a lighthouse, welcoming those from all over the South Shore of Long Island and beyond. Men and women have full access to all ritual life: reading Torah, leading prayer, and chanting Haftorah. We house all generations: single members, married couples, community and all diverse family groups. No one is turned away. We all belong to the Congregation Beth Ohr family.
