Ticket Information 5778

July 26, 2017

Dear Fellow Congregant,

Last year our new Congregation Beth Ohr was successful in integrating and providing a designated High Holy Day seat to every member and guest from our two previous Congregations. This year we are building on that success, and our goal is to make the process of obtaining your High Holy Day tickets easier.

In order to accomplish this goal, we are using last year’s seating chart as the basis for this year’s ticket distribution.  If you have any questions regarding this, please contact one of the committee members listed below, and we will try to accommodate you. Requests for guest tickets will be accommodated wherever possible and we will attempt to have all families sit together. We are asking all members to be flexible if your seats from last year are slightly altered. Our plan is to mail all tickets (member and guest) to you during the first week of September.

As in prior years, all adults must have a ticket to enter the building.  Family members are entitled to two seats and single members to one.

Any requests for guest tickets for family member should be made by August 18, 2017 using the attached form or on the “Additional Seats” tab on CBO’s website. Requests for guest tickets should include the name of the guest, the relationship to the member and the guest(s)’ address. The rental of additional seats for guests of family members is $100 each.   Requests for guest tickets should be accompanied by payment or arrangements should be made with the Financial Secretary.

If you will not be at CBO for the High Holy Days, please let us know.

Please review the following:

  1. In accordance with our constitution, in order to receive your tickets all prior years’ dues and fees must be up to date. In addition, your current dues or an appropriate agreement to Pay Temple Obligations must be in place.

  1. The Financial Secretary will not authorize ticket release to members who have accounts with outstanding balances and who have not fulfilled the current dues obligations.

  1. Members with no outstanding financial obligations need not do anything to maintain their memberships.  These memberships will be automatically renewed.  High Holy Day tickets release authorizations will be issued automatically.

  1. Members of the High Holy Day Logistic Committee will be available at the Congregation to discuss seating arrangements Sept. 11th and 12th from 7-9 pm.

PLEASE NOTE OUR NEW PROGRAM

This year we will also be having a Mechina Service from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on the first day of Rosh Hashanna. This family service will be geared to children ages 6-12, their families, and learners of all ages. It will be held in a tent on the parking lot and be conducted by Rabbi Bernstein, Cantor Myerson and our Junior Congregation leader Rachel Merkel. There will also be another age appropriate service for our younger children. Your main sanctuary tickets will allow you to attend the Mechina Service. Later in the summer, you will receive more information about this new and exciting addition to our High Holiday experience, as well as information on how to get free additional tickets for other family members not attending services in the main sanctuary.

We wish our Beth Ohr family a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year.

Sincerely,

High Holy Days Logistics Committee

Allan Hausman, Phyllis Cohen, Ira Faber, Adrienne Hausman, Stanley Hochhauser, Ian Wald
